Access to the Slopes:
From the Varet 964 apartment, simply descend to the 8th floor, put on your skis or snowboard, and take the path that leads to the lake level, opposite the Club Med. Follow the path around the lake, and you'll find yourself at the base of the Lac des Combes chairlift, which provides access to other lifts in Arc 2000. You can start by taking the Varet gondolas and then the Aiguille Rouge cable car to reach the summit of the glacier, where you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view. Once at the top, you can choose from different slopes to descend, such as the Red Aiguille Rouge slope, the Black Marmottes slope, or the Blue Grand Col slope. These slopes allow you to reach surrounding areas like Arc 1800 or Peisey-Vallandry, where you can continue to explore the Paradiski ski area. With these direct access points from the Varet apartment, you can fully enjoy the slopes right from the start of your skiing day.
For the return, simply follow the same path in the opposite direction: descend the Lac des Combes chairlift slope, take the path along the lake, then remove your gear at the Club Med level to take the elevator on the ground floor, go up to the 9th floor, and treat yourself to a nice hot chocolate!
